Perinatal Wellbeing
The time from pregnancy, or when trying to become pregnant, until about one to two years postpartum is commonly referred to as the perinatal period. While it is often thought of as a joyous and celebratory period, for many it is also a season of challenge, exhaustion, and heightened emotion. In fact, mood and anxiety disorders are the most common complication of pregnancy and childbirth, affecting 1 in 5 women and 1 in 7 men.
If you or your loved one can’t shake the feeling that something just doesn’t seem right, know that you are not alone, you are not to blame and that treatment is available to help. Dr. Stillo would be honored to walk with you out of the darkness as you step into the best version of yourself.
