Dr. Nikki Stillo specializes in treating perinatal mental health, trauma, relationship issues, mood, and anxiety disorders. She has special interests in working with young professionals, fellow helpers and healers, and couples experiencing transitions throughout the journey of parenthood.
Dr. Stillo earned her Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of North Texas with an emphasis in Couples and Family Therapy. She completed her APA-Accredited Internship at Vanderbilt University followed by a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Southern Methodist University’s Counseling and Psychiatric Services where she remained on staff for several years as a Licensed Psychologist and Supervisor.
Dr. Stillo has been in private practice for the past ten years offering individual therapy, couples therapy, and clinical supervision for therapists in training. She was honored to be named a 3-time Addison Reader’s Choice Award Winner for Favorite Mental Health Counselor.
A passionate learner of the field, Dr. Stillo has completed advanced training with Postpartum Support International and is a certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C). She is trained in EMDR and has completed specialized training in the practice of EMDR for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health. Dr. Stillo has also completed Gottman Training Levels 1 and 2, which she regularly integrates in her work with couples.
Outside the office, Dr. Stillo enjoys going on new adventures with her family, talking sports, squeezing in a casual yoga practice, and relishing in quiet moments for rest and reflection.
